Do more versions of your five combinations of words that are "opposites." I will not tell you a specific number to do, but I expect to see evidence that you have put some serious thought into this and considered a number of ways to exploit the characteristics of your word using typography.
Again, some of the typographic tools at your disposal:
Size
Weight
Upper/lowercase
Serif/sans serif
Sounds that the word suggests (say the word out loud a number of times and think about what syllables are emphasized in speech.)
Position in composition
Think of how you would express the word if you were an actor saying it out loud in an interpretive way. How would this translate to typography? (Typography is language made visible.) Break down how the meaning of the word makes you FEEL and consider ways you can express that using ONLY type.
We are moving towards printing these out on pages which will then be folded and bound into a simple accordian-fold book as your final "deliverable." You need to come up with a title for your book (the word "opposites" is way too obvious and is off the table.) Be ready to discuss your ideas about this during class on Tuesday and begin thinking about a design for the cover. Your title would be best if it is between 1-3 words.
