3 – 7 pm at Brickworks: Join IIDA Georgia and AIA Atlanta at the Great Pumpkin Debut! A day of fun in the fall, with carnival fare, games, and discussions in brewing, art, and design.
Monday, Oct 25
1 pm and 6 pm: MODA presents “Serving Form” with a live demonstration from local artist Kristofer Laméy.
7pm: IDSA Atlanta presents a lecture and studio tour at Formation Design.
Tuesday, Oct. 26
1 pm and 6 pm: MODA presents “Serving Form” with a live demonstration from local artist Kristofer Laméy.
6 pm at Grady High School: IDSA Atlanta and Atlanta Public Schools present “Designing for Urban Outdoors,” an open house and presentation of product and environment concepts that promote a healthier Atlanta.
Wednesday, Oct 27
1 pm and 6 pm: MODA presents “Serving Form” with a live demonstration from local artist Kristofer Laméy.
5:30 pm at MODA: IDSA Atlanta and MODA team up with Georgia Tech for a meet and greet with interactive design expert Jim Budd, Georgia Tech School of Industrial Design Chair, and Wayne Li, Oliver Professor of Practice in Design and Engineering.
7 pm at SCAD: NOMA and SCAD present architect Philip Freelon, FAIA, designer of the new Atlanta Center for Civil and Human Rights.
9 pm at Georgia Tech: IDSA Atlanta and AIGA Atlanta present an evening of design short films including a number of movies of Ray and Charles Eames and the recent Oscar winning short ‘Logorama.’
Thursday, Oct 28
1 pm and 6 pm: MODA presents “Serving Form” with a live demonstration from local artist Kristofer Laméy.
5:30 pm at Knoll Showroom: ASID Georgia presents “Florence Knoll-Defining Modern,” celebrating the influences and development of Florence Knoll's remarkable career, from her early days at the Kingswood girls school at the Cranbrook Academy of Art to her establishment of the Knoll Planning Unit.
Friday, Oct 29
10 am – 2 pm: Explore Ivy Hall, often considered Atlanta's oldest, most complete and single most important residence from the post-Civil War period known as the New South.
1 pm and 6 pm: MODA presents “Serving Form” with a live demonstration from local artist Kristofer Laméy.
6 pm at Hub Atlanta: AIGA Atlanta presents the Living Principles site, a place where we co-create, share, and showcase best practices, tools, stories, and ideas for sustainable design across all disciplines.
Saturday, Oct 30
10 am at Peachtree Center MARTA station at Hard Rock Cafe: The Art Institute of Atlanta and AIGA Atlanta present “Type Walk,” a guided tour explaining what letters found in the built environment tell us about our cultural and historic design past.
12 pm at Bauder College: Bauder College presents “Healing Environments—How Art and Design can Improve your Health” with Josh Chuzi, an artist and professor of art history.
Sunday, Oct 31
1–4 pm at the High Museum of Art: The High Museum of Art presents “Dalí-Ween” youth activity. Listen to spooky stories and craft a fantastical Dalí-Ween mask!
