GD II for Tuesday, Sept. 28

Have a MINIMUM of 5 new versions of a more evolved museum poster for class critique at the beginning of class. BEFORE CLASS BEGINS, load your files onto the teacher machine in the lab so we can begin promptly at 2:00.

Remember you are designing the NEGATIVE space more that adding things to your composition. Jealously guard your negative space! See what you can get rid of, clean up and simplify rather than adding more things. Less is more. The communication should be simple, direct and orderly. I recommend you have type in your composition no more than 3 different places and the type placement should be responding to your image in some way. Your type will be best also if you limit the changes you make to it (size, weight, italic, all caps, lowercase) to no more than 3-4 within the entire poster. Remember your visual hierarchy and create relationships between the type changes that support the hierarchy.
