For class Thursday, I expect you to ARRIVE at class having done a substantial amount of mindmapping and idea research. Bring in the results of all your research and a large collection of ideas and source materials in HARD copy form, (digital photographs are OK.) Any imagery you use must be something you generate yourself, be it either your own photographs, drawings, collage, or combinations.
You should be able to clearly discuss the content of your books (all three) and have solid reasons why you intend to focus on one of them, based on the research/mindmapping above. You should have some idea of what approach you will take for ALL THREE of your books, as consistency between the three covers is our goal. You must have an overall plan for all three before you spend time developing any one of them.
Also during class, we will be doing some catching up on some technical skills in the computer and also practicing your trimming/cutting skills. Bring an exacto knife, a whole lot of unused blades, some white artists paper tape, a pencil, and a cork-backed ruler.
